About me

Mallory Dawson is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in gerontology primary care, with a focus on promoting quality of life and independence for older adults managing complex health conditions. Patients can expect a personable, approachable provider who coordinates closely with families and caregivers and who takes care to explain information clearly, so that everyone understands the plan. When making care decisions, Mallory prioritizes what matters most to the patient — their independence, their comfort, and their goals — through a patient- and family-centered approach. Her clinical interests include diabetes management and memory care.

During graduate school, she worked as a Registered Nurse at an adult day health center in San Francisco, where she monitored medically complex patients and helped coordinate their overall care. Earlier in her career, she gained experience as a medical assistant and medical scribe at a community health center. Mallory is conversational in Spanish. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring San Francisco on foot,  reading historical fiction, watching college basketball, and spoiling her cat, Tommy.
