Dixie Tucker is a Nurse Practitioner with 10 years of experience as an NP and six years as a registered nurse in hospital, home care, and geriatric PACE clinic settings. She has served two years as president of the Sierra Chapter of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners, promoting independent practice and education for NPs.
Dixie is a good listener who gives patients clear next steps and acts as a partner in their health. Her interests include chronic disease management, medication review, and healthy living. Through close follow-up among patient, provider, and nurse, she works to prevent hospital stays and readmissions.
Outside of work, Dixie’s husband and son keep her busy, and she’s joining the PTA this year. She enjoys sunset walks on the beach, nature photography, daily meditation, and learning to paint.
